So, today I awoke to the noise of road works at the end of the street and then the surge of butterflys in the ol' gut! Took a deep breath and today was d-day, been booked since the start of february...today was the day of my driving test!!

I mulled around for a bit pondering what today, an abundance of good lucks from people, i pondered If I had done the right thing telling people that my test was today, and that bastard nathan managed to pass his test yesterday with only 3 minors...the pressure was starting to pile on!!

So after faffing about for most of the morning and shooting some baddies on call of duty to calm the nerves...didn't work much!!!

So 1pm came, a cheeky wee hour lesson before the test at 2.05... Duncan the legend that he was laughing at me, he could see my nerves "how are you" i replied simply ... "shitting it" hehe so after that outburst we went around the car went over the show me tell me balls, then off on the lesson we went... It helped mofo amounts calming my nerves!!

So the test came, I was quite calm, not nearly as nervous as the morning and a nice chap Steven came out to take me on the test, after the formalities etc we drove off, and went the route Duncan had told me about 5 mins before we got to the test centre lol!!! (thank fork)

Drove up old dalmahoy road and was greeted by to old codgers going uphill on bikes shaking all about the place...bastards just what i needed as i started my test...managed to eventually get around them, plodded onwards and the first of my manoevres....reverse round a corner...done...then turn in the road...NAILED...and after that he even threw in the good ol emergency stop..NAILED!

Drove around a little longer and all was swell, back to the test centre...and I was informed to wait whilst Steven finished his paperwork..that minute lasted 5!!! He then turned and informed me I passed...the biggest weight came off the shoulders and then a big grin, I could see Duncan in the mirror pondering if I passed...got out the car and gave him the thumbs up, he was happy!! first time passed and with only 4 minors!! put that in a pipe and smoke it!!

On the way back told megan :) she was happpy as fork but angry for reasons i cannot disclose!!! ;) <3

So got home, the folks got home congrats etc then I got slapped on my mums insurance til september!!! for only £160, awesome 1.8 POLO GTi!!! Nippy little forker shame the fecking clutch is a coont!!!

So I fired off and picked Calum up and we went ice skating good banter!!! then got bored and went a drive...GOOD TIMES!!!!

Anyway, thanks to all who wished me luck and have congratulated me!! and to Duncan...good instructor!!! HIGHLY recommended!!!!
